Daily Dose of Enlightenment

There’s a tea out there that brings you enlightenment with every sip, Yogi Tea. For example this morning I had the Pomegranate Green Tea and attached to the end of the tea was my daily dose of “enlightenment.”

“Grace Brings Contentment” – Yogi Tea

Let’s break it down

Grace: noun – unmerited divine assistance given humans for their regeneration or sanctification; a virtue coming from God; a state of sanctification enjoyed through divine grace

Contentment: noun – the quality or state of being contented; something that contents

Make what you will of it. I enjoy this organic tea for the flavor and the antioxidants.

Life as an Angel! - Sophomore year

The big fuzzy white boots were retired this year. These days you can find me at Fish Taco Friday raffling off swag from Heavenly, Riva, Rip N Willies and Flow. The best is when the Aussie’s win the Riva Thong, it is then worn on their head for the duration of the night.

About nine girls make up “The Heavenly Angels.” With there being so many of us this year it’s hard to get us all together. With that being said, we were able to assemble some of the troops when a writer from the Action called and said they wanted to do a “Day in the life of an Angel.” Action is a weekly local newspaper usually covering entertainment and what not. The best part about our exposé is we will be on the cover. Although, I have to share it with a few other girls I’m finally a COVER GIRL. Don’t worry the cover and article will be scanned and posted.

Our Angels ski day!

Winter 07/08

“Skiing consists of wearing $3,000 worth of clothes and equipment and driving 200 miles in the snow in order to stand around at a bar and drink.”
- By Ralph Waldo Emerson

So far this has been the best snow season ever. Well, when I say ever what I mean by that is it’s the best I’ve ever experienced. With a month and a half still left I already have in around 50 days on the mountain.

So far this season:
- I’ve managed to obtain two brand new snowboards and even new bindings. (thank you Nick for the pow-board)

- I’m now addicted to the websites Steep & Cheap and Whiskey Militia – Thanks Adam!

- Smashed through POW on numerous occasions.

- Finally able to ride fire break more than once. Still waiting to do the backside down to Gardnerville.

- Went to Squaw for the very first time and for only $20.

- Shoveled and re-shoveled our driveway a million times (or at least it seemed that way)

- Battled with the mailman and snow burms. Our mail wasn’t delivered for a little over a month in January.

- Snapped a cable, and managed to get my car stuck a handful of times. I now drive with a shovel in my car.

- Learned to make a fire on my own without a blow torch – mother (yes, you read that correctly)

I’ve learned that no matter where you are riding it doesn’t matter; all that matter's is that you are having the time of your life, because you only live once.

KNBR: Extreme Scene!!!

It’s time to start bloging again. One may ask where I’ve been, well busy. Busy making beanies, snowboarding, slinging coffee at Starbucks, working at Heavenly, and as always side projects. So where do I begin? I guess, right where I left off.

Back in November right after Icer Air I was able to pick up a project with the boys over at KNBR: Extreme Scene. Their show is finally downloadable through iTunes which means you can catch up on all the old shows plus you’ll never have to miss another show again. Pretty sweet, right? Here’s the press release so you can obtain all the information you may need.
